Jeffrey D. Sams (born June 18, 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American actor known primarily for his television work. A native of Ohio, Jeffrey D. Sams has been a main cast member of several television series, few of which have made it past their first season. These include Line of Fire, Medicine Ball, and Rob Thomas’s Cupid. Jeffrey D. Sams has had recurring roles on television series such as Strong Medicine, Law & Order and CSI. He appeared on Broadway in the 1992 musical Five Guys Named Moe, the 1993 motion Fly By Night, Waiting to Exhale (1995) and in the 1997 motion picture Soul Food as Kenny the boyfriend and husband of Maxine/ Max played by Vivica A. Fox. As of 2005, Jeffrey D. Sams had a recurring role on Rob Thomas’s Veronica Mars as a baseball player named Terrence Cook. His Cupid co-star Paula Marshall previously had a recurring role on the show, and Thomas has stated that – at some point – he would like to reunite Marshall, Sams, and their Cupid co-star Jeremy Piven on Veronica Mars. He also provided the English voice of Amazigh/Barbaroi in the mech action game Armored Core 4. 1986 Jeffrey D. Sams graduated from the Cincinnati School for the Creative and Performing Arts.
Rocky Carroll was born July 8, 1963 as Roscoe Fulton Carroll. He is an American actor. He is known for his roles as Joey Emerson on the FOX comedy-drama Roc with Charles S. Dutton as Roc Emerson and Ella Joyce as Eleanor Emerson; as Dr. Keith Wilkes on the CBS medical drama Chicago Hope; and as NCIS Director Leon Vance on the CBS drama NCIS and its spinoff NCIS: Los Angeles. Rocky Carroll was nominated for Broadway’s 1990 Tony Award as Best Actor (Featured Role – Play) for August Wilson’s “The Piano Lesson.” Rocky Carroll attended the School for the Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) in Cincinnati with Sarah Jessica Parker. Rocky Carroll has one daughter, Elissa. He has played the same character (Leon Vance) in three different series: NCIS (2003), NCIS: Los Angeles (2009) and NCIS: New Orleans (2014).
