Alisha Laventure joined the News 12 team as a general assignment reporter in September, 2011. She is now the weekend anchor for News 12 The Bronx and News 12 Brooklyn. She began her journalism career at CBS Broadcasting Inc. in Manhattan, where she worked as a Production Assistant in Affiliate Relations. Alisha Laventure is of Haitian heritage which lead her in the opportunity to help produce 60 Minutes’ “The Lost Children of Haiti,” which won an Emmy for Best Report in a News Magazine. News Anchor Alisha Laventure went from New York to WMBF-TV News in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. There, she brought live, local, late-breaking coverage to five counties across the Pee Dee Region from the Florence bureau.
