Keshia Knight Pulliam was born 9 April 1979, Newark, New Jersey, USA is an actress best known for her childhood role as Rudy Huxtable on the NBC sitcom The Cosby Show and as Miranda Lucas-Payne on the TBS comedy-drama Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. She graduated from Spelman College on May 20, 2001, with a degree in sociology. At just 6 years of age, she became the youngest actress ever to be nominated for an Emmy (best supporting-actress) for her work on The Cosby Show (1986). She is s a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Was initiated at Spelman College. She was ranked #19 in VH1’s list of the “100 Greatest Kid Stars”. She was ranked #11 on E! Television’s 50 Cutest Child Stars. Keshia Knight Pulliam starred in the music video for Chingy’s One Call Away in January 2004.

In the television show Moesha, Shar Jackson played the title character’s best friend, Niecy Jackson; she has also appeared in The Bernie Mac Show.
