Grace Jones was born Beverly Grace Jones on 19 May 1948 in Spanish Town, Jamaica is a Jamaican singer, songwriter, model, record producer, and actress. She was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica and raised by her grandparents. At 13 she moved with her siblings to their parents’ home in Syracuse, New York. Grace Jones appeared in movies in the U.S. during the 1970s and early 1980s such as Conan the Destroyer alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the 1985 James Bond movie A View to a Kill. In 1986 she played a vampire in Vamp, and acted in and contributed a song to the 1992 Eddie Murphy film Boomerang. She appeared alongside Tim Curry in the 2001 film Wolf Girl.Apart from acting she was a singer. In 1977 Grace Jones secured a record deal with Island Records. She scored Top 40 entries on the UK Singles Chart with “Pull Up to the Bumper”, “I’ve Seen That Face Before”, “Private Life”, “Slave to the Rhythm” and “I’m Not Perfect”. She is nickname The Queen of Gay Discos. Though some people think that Grace Jones is a transgender she is actually a woman and from a relationship with Jean-Paul Goude she has a son, Paulo born 12 November 1979.
Rapper Canibus was born Germaine Williams on December 9, 1974 in Kingston, Jamaica. He is of West African descent. His father, Basil Williams, is a former Jamaican cricketer. The family moved frequently, living in New York City, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Miami, Buffalo, and London due to his mother’s career requiring constant relocation. Canibus is better known by his stage name Canibus. He is a Jamaican-American rapper, actor and member of The Hrsmn, Sharpshooterz, Cloak N Dagga, The Undergods, and one-half of T.H.E.M. Canibus rose to fame in the mid-nineties. About.com placed him at number 32 on their list of the “Top 50 MCs of Our Time (1987–2007)”, while in 2012 The Source placed him number 44 on their list of the Top 50 Lyricists of All Time. Canibus had a feud with rapper LL Cool J. In 2002, Canibus signed up for the United States Army. Canibus battled Dizaster in 2012. Canibus completed his first rap battle for King of the Dot on June 9, 2012.The battle was part of King of the Dot’s Fresh Coast division in L.A.
