Goldie Taylor was born on July 18th 1968. She is an American author and opinion writer based in Atlanta, Georgia. Goldie Taylor was born in University City, Missouri, but raised in East St. Louis, Illinois. Goldie Taylor is a contributor to MSNBC, CNN and HLN on social, political and faith issues. In the wake of the Penn State sex abuse scandal, Goldie Taylor revealed during a November 2011 appearance on “CNN Newsroom” with Don Lemon her own experience being sexually abused. In a post on her blog about her decision to come forward, Goldie Taylor named her abuser. In February 2012, Taylor itemized on Twitter a history of domestic abuse, disclosing intimate details about a previous abusive relationship. In March 2012, Taylor appeared on “The Lawrence O’Donnell Show” wearing a hooded sweatshirt in solidarity with slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin. She was the first cable news pundit to do so, being an early vocal proponent of a deeper investigation. Goldie Taylor has served as executive consultant to NBC News and CNN Worldwide. In 2009, while serving as a consulting producer to CNN, Goldie Taylor re-opened an investigation into the Atlanta Child Murders and convicted serial killer Wayne Williams. She was also an executive consultant to CNN’s “Black In America”, leading the audience tune-in strategy. “Black In America 1” remains one of the highest rated documentaries in CNN’s history. Taylor was also the chief architect of Proctor & Gamble’s “My Black Is Beautiful”, the largest marketing effort targeting African-American women in the company’s history. Goldie Taylor has previously been an external affairs executive for several Fortune 500 companies, as well as two of the world’s largest public relations agencies, the GCI Group San Francisco and Edelman Atlanta Public Relations. Taylor is currently the CEO of Goldie Taylor Brand Communications, an Atlanta-based multi-cultural advertising and public relations agency. She is also the managing editor and host of “The Goldie Taylor Project”, an opinion blog devoted to contemporary political, social, and faith issues confronting America. She is a featured columnist at theGrio.com, the leading news and opinion site for African Americans. She was a consulting producer for “CNN Presents: The Atlanta Child Murders” and has been an executive consultant for both NBC News and CNN Worldwide. Goldie Taylor is the author of In My Father’s House (Wheatmark Press, 2005), The January Girl (Warner Books, 2007/ Hachette Grand Central 2008) and is currently working on her third novel, Paper Gods, as well as her yet-untitled spiritual memoir. She is CEO of Faithful Moon Productions and the executive producer of the upcoming feature length documentary, The Other Side of Grace. She launched The Goldie Taylor Project in 2008.

Lady Saw who`s real name is Marion Hall was born on 12th July 1972 in Saint Mary, Jamaica. She is a Jamaican female Dancehall artist. She is known as “Queen of the Dancehall”. She is the first female deejay to win a Grammy Award and to be certified a triple-platinum artist. She is also the first woman to headline dancehall shows outside her native Jamaica. She took the name after the famous Jamaican Deejay Tenor Saw, whose style she is said to emulate. She started her career on local sound systems. She is recognized as the number one female dancehall artist in Jamaica. After her release from VP Records, Marion formed her own independent label called, Divas Records. Through a partnership with Toasting Music, she released her newest album entitled, “My Way” on September 7, 2010. Additionally, Lady Saw is currently working on a project featuring works from her alter ego ‘Marion Hall’ which will be released in 2012. She is widely known for her provocative Dancehall songs. In the mid-1990s she had “conscious” lyrics. In 1999 she had a major hit in the United States with “Smile”, recorded with Vitamin C, which peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100, also a major hit in New Zealand and Canada, and certified gold with over 500,000 sales. Lady Saw received a gold certification from the R.I.A.A. for “Smile” with Vitamin C. Lady Saw received a triple-platinum certification from the R.I.A.A. for “Underneath It All”, her 2003 collaboration with No Doubt. In 2002, Lady Saw earned a Grammy Award for Best Performance by a Duo or Group for her featured performance on No Doubt’s single “Underneath It All”. In 2007 after rumors that she was trying to get pregnant and could not conceive a child Lady saw came out with the song “No Less Than A Woman (Infertility)” where she depicted how she felt about not being able to have kids. Lady Saw has sold over 6 Million records worldwide with her 8 Albums and numerous singles. Lady Saw was the 1st female dancehall artist to receive a Grammy. Her music has been placed in movies, on television and used advertisements to sell products like Hersey’s & Tide.
